Blume popo
Describing their sound as "past paps," Blume popo traverse genres including alternative, electronics, and shoegaze with a distinctly personal sensibility.
Since 2022, composer Yokota has been based in Germany, and the project has since operated across two hubs — Germany and Japan.
With listeners not only in Germany and Japan but across Asia — including China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan — the duo held their first solo event in China in the summer of 2023, drawing an audience of approximately 140. They followed this with a China tour the next year as well.
From the summer of 2025, they relocated their base to Tokyo, further expanding their activities in Japan. They have also been selected for NMA2025, a startup development program organized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).
