No matter where Tanner Usrey plays, you’ll find him among the people once the lights come on and the show ends. The Texas-born singer, songwriter, and guitarist dedicates as much time as possible to hearing stories from fans, sharing laughs with them, and snapping a photo or two until either bus call or last call. This homegrown connection has defined his quiet rise. When you listen to his music, you’ll hear the same rock ‘n’ roll-loving no-nonsense young country gentleman that you’d meet outside of a gig. That’s why he’s gathered nearly half-a-billion streams, sold out gigs around the globe, and incited the applause of Rolling Stone, Whiskey Riff, Bob Lefsetz, and many more. During 2019, he broke through with his self-released debut EP Medicine Man powered by “Come Back Down,” generating over 58 million Spotify streams. He maintained this momentum with 2023’s Crossing Lines. From the latter, the standout “Beautiful Lies” racked up 59 million Spotify streams and attracted Ella Langley for a popular official duet. Following the 2025 release of These Days, rooms kept getting bigger as he launched his second headline run The Bad Love Tour. He notably supported everyone from Shane Smith & the Saints, Koe Wetzel, Dylan Gossett, and Cody Jinks to Dierks Bentley and Whiskey Myers, setting his well-worn cowboy boots down on the stages of Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Royal Albert Hall, and the Ryman Auditorium. He rolled through Boston Calling, Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, Stagecoach, and Lollapalooza. Not to mention, he landed high-profile syncs in Yellowstone, Landman, Special Ops: Lioness, Fire Country, and Twisters.
