Nadeem Din-Gabisi brings his acclaimed debut Album OFFSHORE to The Bakery in Liverpool (Liverpool Debut!) OFFSHORE, released in August 2025 on Moshi Moshi music, has received support from BBC 6Music, Byte FM, Somewhere Soul, Apple Music Playlists, as well as being featured in NPR, Worldwide FM and The Fader's list of Best New Albums, The Observer’s, ‘Ones To Watch’, Clash Magazine and included on The Quietus and Electronic Sound Mags List of Best Albums of 2025. Nadeem’s music tackles themes of belonging, estrangement and identity with ‘potent streams of consciousness’. Nadeem’s live shows at Supernormal Festival, Sinsal Festival and Great Escape have showcased his 'big choruses and big energy which elevate themes of Black identity, cultural displacement, and spiritual resilience with a refined sense of composition and arrangement', expect to go on an adventure of loops, costumes, audience participation and the unexpected! Nadeem will be joined by Amber Akaunu, André Jahnoi, Blvk Velvet and Lois South! Amber Akaunu; Amber Akaunu is a Liverpool born Nigerian-German filmmaker working in cinema and art to document and imagine Black regional stories. Her work has previously exhibited at Liverpool Biennial (BEDROCK, 2025) and screened at London Short Film Festival (Bonded 3.0, 2024). Her creative practice extends to her role as co-founder of ROOT-ed Zine (2017-2024) where she worked to support Black, Asian and Global Majority artists in the North West of England through publishing, workshops, guest lectures, curating and producing. Amber holds a BA in Fine Art and an MA in Film and was awarded the BAFTA Kirsh scholarship for her postgraduate studies at Goldsmiths, UoL. André Jahnoi; André Jahnoi is a Liverpool-born hip-hop artiste and organiser whose insurrectionary sound and philosophy are heavily influenced by his Afro-Jamaican heritage. He describes his music as decolonial, using lyricism as a means of challenging the babylon systems that bound the ways we imagine the world and our place in it. Channelling inspirations ranging from Damian Marley to Lil Wayne to Walter Rodney, André's music combines Caribbean rhythm, wheel-and-come wordplay and radical Rastafari thought to provide the crucial soundtrack to the revolution, with love and liberation the key themes of his work. His live sets integrate call-and-response battle cries borrowed from freedom movements across the globe to create a momentary oasis of connection and hope for crowds from Liverpool to New York to Colombia. Covering topics from love to liberation over drums from across the Afrikan diaspora, Jahnoi combines a braggadocious confidence with gentle vulnerability to take listeners on a journey through space, time and emotion. Blvk Velvet; Blvk Velvet (they/them) is a multi disciplinary Caribbean artist based in Liverpool, known for their pumping sets that fuse electro, techno, break-beat, baile funk and of course a cheeky little edit. With a growing love for curating a musical experience they’ve played renowned parties including Ponyboy Glasgow, La Potion, Eat Me, Nan Moors and Baltic Weekender. Lois South; Lois or The Black Unicorn is a storyteller who stitches history, myth, and memory into verse. Her work drips with ancestral echoes and unsettling truths, conjuring voices long buried and futures not yet born. Lois has had her poems published internationally and is a fixture in the Liverpool spoken word scene.
