Wendy Newcomer is a singer/songwriter originally from Asheboro, North Carolina, currently living in Nashville, Tennessee. She made her Grand Ole Opry debut in 2000. In 2008 Newcomer's song "Runaround" won the MerleFest Chris Austin Songwriting Contest in the Country category. Newcomer performs around the country on solo dates and with the band 50 Shades of Hay; is a demo and session singer; and has also recorded voiceovers and jingles.

What fans are saying
Wendy and her band, the Nashville Cats, we're a real treat. Her voice is always strong and beautiful and the band provided a rich backing as they played sets of mostly older country music. Their catalog of songs is deep! She even threw in a couple of her original songs. I enjoyed the "Recession Special" as my late breakfast / early lunch. The food and service at Robert's Western World was great, too.
