Artist bio
Peter Pana is the band that has decided, with each song, with every cry: Music for ever! We can grow up later, when we’re grey and old.
«Our gig in a pizzeria in Schlieren got cancelled on short-notice. Bankruptcy, a fate not uncommon to pizzerias in the north of Schlieren. Determined to find an alternative gig, we decided to knock on all the doors of all the bars on Long Street. First we hit the right side, up to the bridge, and then the left. And it worked! The new gig… Getting to know the bars on Long Street… That was the beginning and since then Peter Papa hasn’t looked back.»
Noemi Fricker (Lead vocals, piano) and Jessica Gomes (Guitar, Backing vocals) from Zurich have been making music together since 2017. They write and sing in German, Swiss-German and English. Their songs are mischievously bluesy, hip-swingingly folky, thought-provoking, powerfully melancholy. For their first single “27 hours” they gathered allies and stormed an old power station, dancing until sweat ran down their bellies and injury beckoned.
Peter Pana: pure, proud and powerful!
