About this concert
2:00 PM CST1 Going
A must-see for violin lovers!
Barber’s treasured Violin Concerto runs the gamut from radiant melodies that melt the heart to super-human, finger-flying feats, and an extraordinary experience is in store as the incomparable Gil Shaham (2026–27 Houston Symphony Artist-in-Residence) returns to Jones Hall.
Lighthearted and life-affirming, Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8 bursts with pastoral charm, frisky folk tunes, and joyful odes to the splendors of nature.
