The Pylant Family

Being referred to as North Alabama’s First Family Of Gospel Music isn’t something that The Pylant Family takes lightly. They have spent their lives preparing for this current season of Gospel Ministry. Brandon and Melina Pylant are joined on stage by their children Aaron and Bethany, and Melina’s sister, Elisha Terry. Elisha actually had the original idea for the family to sing together. They eventually began singing locally in 2008, and accepted the call to full-time music evangelism in 2021. The Lord has truly blessed their efforts as they have faithfully traveled across the United States sharing their special brand of heart-felt singing and Brandon’s soul-stirring preaching.

A highlight of their services is when Brandon shares Aaron’s inspiring testimony and of his miraculous journey with a diagnosis of Autism. Given the news early on that Aaron had an expressive/receptive language disorder, and would likely never be able to communicate properly or ever utter a true word, the family began petitioning God to supernaturally touch Aaron. And touch him, He did!! God not only answered their prayers, He went far above and beyond that, and gave him a talent to sing. To date, Aaron has captured the hearts of thousands of people with his engaging smile and anointed baritone voice. He is beloved by many members of the National Gospel Music groups, as well. You will not be able to hold back the tears when you hear and see Aaron sing his signature song that starts out with the lyric “If you could see what I once was - if you could go with me - back to where I started from, I know you would see...” Aaron is a special young man, indeed.

Aside from being wonderful vocalists, Brandon and Melina are also successful songwriters. Their original compositions such as “He Carried The Cross” and “He Will Take Care Of You” have been well received and have found their place atop the National Gospel Music Radio Charts. Aaron and Bethany have both been the recipient of prestigious awards individually celebrating their fine character and the humble way that they encourage their peers. It is simply a blessing to watch their proud Aunt Elisha beam while standing beside them. She’s a great singer, in her own right. She and her husband Bengi are raising up a beautiful group of young girls that are coming into their own as singers. The future is bright for this precious family!!
