Artist bio
Son of legendary drummer Ginger Baker, Kofi Baker is a name synonymous with drumming excellence. This is evident the moment you hear or see Kofi play. And the DNA is unmistakable!
However, he has his own unique approach to playing and with an uncompromising daily practicing regime, it’s no wonder he has forged his own long and distinguished career working with many other legendary musicians such as Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Roger Waters, Nile Rogers, Tom Jones, Jack Bruce, Steve Marriott, Uli Jon Roth and many more.

What fans are saying
I've been a big fan of Kofi's drumming since 1997 & was too tired to drive to Hutchinson, Ks for that 2019 performance, so I was genuinely thrilled he finally made it to Kansas City! I've been extremely fortunate to see & meet many of the greatest drummers of all time such as Gregg Bissonette, Jack DeJohnette, Max Roach, Roy Haynes, Danny Gottlieb, Anton Fig, Louie Bellson, & many others, & I will state without hesitation Kofi is also one of the best & didn't disappoint. His verbal communication & story telling between his inspiring drum solos was first rate. Even though I was last in the meet & greet line(also a big thank you to Olivia of WFL3 for getting Kofi's attention & granting me access), Kofi proved to be a great one-on-one friendly conversationalist & learning resource despite my star-struck demeanor & nervous blather. In brief, Rikki Rockett was a pleasant, surprising icing on the cake, & his enthusiastic, hard-hitting drumming after healing from several forms of cancer was also inspiring.
