Our Man In The Field

Our Man in the Field is the musical world of British songwriter Alex Ellis — part band, part roving transmission from somewhere between the rolling hills of England and the fading glow of the American dream.
The new chapter, Silverado, was recorded at Mark Knopfler’s British Grove Studios with producer Guy Fletcher, and features a remarkable cast including Ethan Johns, Sonny Landreth, PP Arnold and Robbie McIntosh.

Following standout shows at Glastonbury, Hyde Park with Neil Young, Highways at the Royal Albert Hall, and tours with The Delines and Chuck Prophet, Our Man in the Field has become a quietly magnetic live proposition: cinematic, soulful, road-worn and full of stories.

At the centre of it all is WZR2 Radio Free Silverado — a fictional pirate station broadcasting songs, films, dispatches and fragments from the strange frontier where British melancholy meets American myth.
