New Orleans guitarist, singer and songwriter Eric Johanson has built a sound that pulls from the blues without staying boxed inside it. His new album, The Open Bayou, follows the Billboard #1 The Deep and the Dirty with a heavier, more immediate record shaped by years on the road and the chemistry of his power trio. Raw, soulful and restless, Johanson’s music connects deep roots with a modern rock edge that feels entirely his own.
