Christopher "Isto" White is a guitarist, singer, songwriter, and music teacher based in Syracuse, New York. He is known for his fingerstyle arrangements of American Songbook classics, his playful and thoughtful original songs, and a performance style that blends sincerity, wit, and restraint, with the occasional lack thereof.
He has released 16 albums of original music, along with a holiday album I’m Dreaming of a Chris Whitemas. His songs range from silly to sincere, surreal to deeply expressive. He has over 28,000 YouTube subscribers, with 850+ music videos spanning many styles and several million total views. His first book, Fingerpicking the Great American Songbook, was published by Acoustic Guitar Magazine/Stringletter Media in 2025.
