Artist bio
Forged in the energy of Arizona’s underground rave culture, Markus Schulz has evolved into one of electronic music’s most enduring architects, shaping a sound that moves fluidly between progressive house, trance, techno, and deeper after-hours territories. From early landmarks like The New World to era-defining works such as Destiny, his catalog spans multiple albums, countless club anthems, and thousands of performances across the world’s most revered clubs, festivals, and arenas. As the guiding force behind Coldharbour Recordings and the voice of the long-running Global DJ Broadcast, Schulz has helped define generations of artists and listeners alike, while his remixes and collaborations have crossed genre and cultural boundaries. Renowned for his instinctive connection with the dance-floor, technically precise yet emotionally charged mixing, and legendary open-to-close sets, he has left an indelible mark everywhere from Ibiza and Miami to Berlin, Montreal, and beyond. Today, Markus continues to push forward—balancing expansive festival moments with deeper, darker club journeys, exploring parallel worlds through his Dakota project, and curating immersive experiences like In Search of Sunrise, all while refining a musical vision focused on tension, release, and storytelling for the future of the dance-floor.

What fans are saying
Once Markus finally took the stage the night improved dramatically! His sound was on point and the lasers were cool, but the venue unfortunately didn't do much to make his opening DJ's sound as good as the headliner. All I heard was bass and the audience talking, even with earplugs the openers got a raw deal. And I was under the impression this was going to be an open-to-close set but in reality he only played for about an hour and 45min before security at the venue abruptly shut him down at 1:45am. So, overall, could've been better, but none of that was Markus's fault. And the venue was of course totally packed and very hot. Would it kill them to have a ceiling fan? They did have other fans around the edges of the place at least, but yeah. Prepare to sweat hard if you actually want to dance!
