Artist bio
Molly Karloff are a UK alt-rock trio: Simon Gee, Simone Iaria and Tyler Bryant. They play riff-driven alt-rock with teeth, built on heavy grooves, big hooks and zero bullshit.
Their debut album, Breaking Out, was recorded with Grammy-winning producer Mike Exeter. Classic Rock gave it 8/10 for its "punchy, QOTSA-attuned ear and honed-to-the-bone brutality", Powerplay said it was "full of groove-laden riffs… dragging the listener to the table, whether they want to be there or not", and MMH Radio called it "nothing short of pulverising perfection". The single "She Said" spent three weeks on Planet Rock's main playlist, and the video for "Faceless" has passed a million views.
The band take their cues from the alt-rock and grunge of the 90s and 2000s, the likes of Queens of the Stone Age, Soundgarden and Alice in Chains: bands who stared uncomfortable truths in the face instead of pretending life was a party. The songs deal with identity, pressure and pushing back, and they're built for packed, sweaty rooms, with the low end rattling your chest and riffs you feel before you've had time to think.
They've played Hard Rock Hell XVIII and venues right across the UK, and they're back out this autumn.
"They have fire in their bones & might engender a rabid crowd reaction." Powerplay Magazine
