Strictly Hip

Join us for our annual concert in support of the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack fund! This double header sees The Secret Path Band return to perform a live rendition of the Secret Path record alongside the accompanying film. Then, masters of the music of the Tragically Hip, Strictly Hip, take the stage to celebrate the live legacy Gord left behind. The Secret Path band brings together a collective of acclaimed Canadian musicians united by a shared musical lineage and deep artistic connection to the work of Gord Downie. Led by musical director Joe Lapinski , the band features Ian De Souza, Laurel Minnes, and Gord Downie collaborators Dave Clark and Dr. Pee. The Strictly Hip are evangelists who take pride in presenting the music of The Tragically Hip with the respect and accuracy it deserves. Since forming in 1995, the band has been performing this music with reverence and has accumulated a strong fanbase of their own through extensive touring. Get ready to celebrate the music of The Tragically Hip as it’s meant to be experienced: with a fist in the air and an arm around your buddy. We are Niagara's home stage. Check out the homegrown talent in our 26/27 Season noted by the Local icon in our brochure and website. These shows were either created in the region or feature current or alumni Niagara artists.
