Michael Logsdon

Michael Logsdon is a singer/songwriter in Charleston, South Carolina and worship director at Great Commission Baptist Church. He has a passion for writing hymns and songs for the church that combine theologically rich poetry with singable melodies, drawing inspiration from scripture, liturgies, and prayers of the saints from church history. He writes music in a variety of genres including folk, jazz, classical, Celtic, and more. His recent hymn "I Have No Other King Than Christ" was one of three winners of the 2024 Southern Baptist Church Music Conference Songwriting Competition. In addition to a side hobby of graphic design, he enjoys listening to a variety of music styles, drinking excellent coffee, watching serialized science fiction shows, and reading great books.
