An-Ting

An-Ting is a composer and multidisciplinary artist whose practice exists at the vanguard of experimental electronic music and immersive technology. Her work is a deep interrogation of the relationships between humanity, the natural world, and the spiritual realm.

Notion describes her as “the one-to-watch in the world of composing…”. Her works have been presented at and commissioned by renowned arts institutions, including the Barbican, V&A, LSO St Luke’s, Southbank Centre, Bristol Old Vic, National Theater Taiwan, and Shanghai International Pingpong Festival.

Between 2018 and 2023, she led the National Portfolio Organisation Kakilang, emphasising on establishing an artist-led structure, generating new narratives by Southeast and East Asian artists, and encouraging cross-artform collaborations. Her background presents a unique fusion of science and art, holding a degree in Chemistry from National Taiwan University, alongside a MMus and PhD in performance from the Royal Academy of Music.

Her released albums include Lost Communications 失絡之聲, every dollar is a soldier/with money you're a dragon (co-created with Daniel York Loh), Songs from My Room, Water Image.
