Daniel Nwosu Jr., better known as the artist Dax, shows no signs of stopping after riding a wave of success that has led to nearly four billion global career streams. Dax released a slew of fan-favorite singles in 2025, following his country-infused breakout song “Dear Alcohol,” which amassed over 350M streams and his genre-blending viral hit “Lonely Dirt Road,” leading to his Lonely Dirt Road headline tour last fall. The tour sold out, hitting major cities worldwide including Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and more. In 2026, Dax continues to build on that success with more new music, starting with the release of “Temptation,” “God, Can You Hear Me?” and “Caught You In The Bed,” out now. More new music and headline tour dates are on the horizon.
Sparked by his millions of devoted followers on TikTok, Dax has amassed over 48 million followers across his social platforms. He has collaborated with Darius Rucker, Elle King and Maverick City Music. His music has found space blending genres and has appeared on numerous Billboard charts, Spotify’s Viral 50 (US + Global) chart. He has received multiple Platinum certifications for "Dear Alcohol," "Lonely Dirt Road" and "To Be A Man" ft. Darius Rucker. He has performed live on NBC News, ABC News and TODAY.

Artist bio
Daniel Nwosu Jr., better known as the Canadian rapper, singer and songwriter, Dax, is currently riding a wave of success with his Country-infused and near Gold breakout single “Dear Alcohol”. Initially sparked by his millions of devoted followers on TikTok, the single burst on DSPs and very soon after garnered a remix with Grammy-nominated Country artist, Elle King.
With over 100 million streams to date, the viral song has found space between both hip hop and country music genres, appearing on numerous Billboard charts, Billboard
Digital Song Sales, Country Digital Song Sales, Hot Country Songs, Emerging Artists, and landed on a multitude of Spotify charts, including Viral 50 (US + Global) in addition to other countries.
Dax says about the recently released remix video with Elle King “it was amazing to join forces with Elle King on this remix and tackle a problem millions are fighting in silence. The impact is touching lives and this visual adds depth to already powerful lyrics.”
“As musicians it’s our job to talk about all sides of life and I commend Dax for addressing this issue,” shares King. “I was honored to join him on this song to help shine a light for so many who are struggling.”
The deeply personal single continues to resonate with people who are experiencing their own issues with alcohol addiction. Dax connects with his audience using his own lane of topic-driven music that generates conversations – and “Dear Alcohol” is no exception.
A self-made independent artist for several years, Dax has garnered over half a billion streams on his collective catalog and has amassed over 13 million followers across his social platforms.
As a proud Canadian, Dax was thrilled when “Dear Alcohol” was the #2 most added record at Canadian Country radio as well as being announced as a performer for the Canadian Country Music Awards, happening on Sept. 11.
Dax shows no signs of slowing down as he preps to hit the road and meet the new fans that he’s made with “Dear Alcohol,” all while maintaining a social media presence that only few in music have been able to master.

What fans are saying
DAX was amazing! He was spot on. I have followed him for years since my housemate moved in and introduced me to his music/poetry/rapping. The venue was great. The staff were professional and kind.
My only critique would be that in the second half of the show, the band was so loud that it was hard to hear the lyrics.
But the musicians were incredible, and my only regret was that I didn't go to the meet-and-greet before to actually get to meet DAX!
