Garlands combines the noise of My Bloody Valentine and Sonic Youth with floating
harmonies reminiscent of Nico and Stereolab. Lyrically, the songs revolve around states of
transition, life in a tightly regimented society, being in transit, transformation,
and impermanence – captured in dense soundscapes that oscillate between melancholy,
rebellion, and new beginnings. In 2024, they released their debut EP, Turn the Sky, on the
label La Pochette Surprise. Garlands’ debut album will be released in early 2027.
