Artist bio
In a backyard studio she calls the “Temple of Bloom,” Laura Veirs made a record without a safety net. No click. No headphones. No edits.
Temple Songs is her first fully self-recorded and self-produced album—a collection of performances captured live, where feeling takes precedence over polish. The songs unfold with a raw, luminous quality, tracing arcs of devotion, independence, and creative renewal.
Out August 14, 2026.
FULL BIO:
Singer-songwriter Laura Veirs has produced 15 albums over 28 years, has toured internationally and has collaborated with luminaries such as kd lang, Neko Case, Sufjan Stevens, Jim James (of My Morning Jacket), The Decemberists, Bill Frisell and many more. Her music blends the poetic sensibilities of contemporary folk with the melodic frameworks of indie rock. Veirs’ songs are literate and emotionally intelligent. Her work has been praised in the New York Times, The Guardian, The Independent, The Washington Post and many other publications. She also is a published author, podcaster, teacher and painter. She lives in Portland, OR with her blended family of 4 teens, a husband, a dog and a cat.
