An Dannsa Dub

An Dannsa Dub (The Dub Dance in Gaelic) is the brainchild Tom Spirals and Euan McLaughlin formed in 2020. The project fuses the mystical energy and instruments of traditional Scottish music and Gaelic song with the heavy, meditative, driving basslines digital dub music. Working with highly skilled musicians from both the traditional music scene and the soundsystem community An Dannsa Dub’s live shows are a pulsating melting pot of high energy vibes and top quality musicianship.

Since the beginning of their journey An Dannsa have taken their unique and unstoppable sound to audiences around the world with multiple UK headline tours under their belt and stacked summers full of festival mainstage shows including a 10,000 strong crowd at Boomtowns hidden woods, a headline sold out show at Celtic Connections, The Dub Club arena at Dubcamp; Glade stage at Glastonbury, headlining Ariano Folk festival in Italy, Goa Sunsplash in India, the list keeps growing and so do the crowds…

2021’s self-titled EP "An Dannsa Dub" brought the group worldwide acclaim. The release has been played on BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio Nan Gàidheal and BBC Scotland. It’s been supported by Don Letts, who included it in his “Best Of 22”, as well as Tom Robinson, Mungo's Hi Fi, and OBF.

The debut album Air An Turas was released to eager fans in March 2023 and featured stacks of exciting collaborations with artists from the Dub and Trad scene such as Cian Finn & Lana Pheutan.

Through The Storm released 01/05/24 was is a huge step up for the project. Having worked tirelessly alongside esteemed producers GAUDI and Paolo Baldini on the production, as well as a diverse range of incredible guests such as Junior Dread, Lewis Mclaughlin, Josie Duncan , Horseman, Corto Alto & Rachel Newton it has been a milestone record for An Dannsa and has taken the project to new heights with 2026 looking to be there busiest year yet.
