haking Hand is een trio uit Manchester dat lange, langzaam opbouwende post-rock maakt in meerdere stemmingen en maatsoorten. Ze halen inspiratie uit modernistische architectuur, Amerikaanse alternatieve muziek uit de jaren 90 en midwestern emo. Het muzikale DNA van de band loopt via experimentele gitaaracts als Women, Slint, Sonic Youth, Pavement en Ulrika Spacek, in balans gebracht met het melodische gevoel van Big Thief en de dynamische intimiteit van Yo La Tengo.
