About this concert
1:30 PM EDT
On Sunday afternoon, meet me at Lucinda’s on Avenue A in Alphabet City hosts a Nashville-style, in-the-round Songwriter’s Open Mic, where original music and close listening take center stage. Sign-up starts in the early afternoon, and performers typically get to share two original songs each, with sets rotating in the round so writers can trade tunes and inspire each other. Cover songs and backing tracks are off the table—this is a room dedicated to live, original songwriting, and the audience is expected to stay quiet and tuned in while each artist plays. If you’re looking for a warm, no-frills East Village listening room, or even to road-test new material, connect with other writers, and spend a Sunday soaking up songs, this open mic is for you!
