Drawing inspiration from the wide-open spaces of West Texas and the lineage of troubadours like Tom Petty, Mark Knopfler, Mickey Newbury, and Guy Clark, Bryan’s music lives where honesty meets melody — grounded in faith, love, and hard-won perspective.

In 2020, Bryan faced the darkest moment of his life when his young son was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. Forced to leave his other children behind to fight alongside his son, he endured months of isolation, trauma, and uncertainty — a crucible that reshaped his understanding of purpose. “The mission became simple,” he recalls. “Save his life.” Through that season, Bryan discovered that the tools that kept him grounded — faith, nature, music, science, and love — would later become the foundation of his songwriting.

When doctors finally told him the third round of chemotherapy was working, the emotional floodgates opened. That moment — the collision of grace, exhaustion, and relief — became a defining force behind The Marfa Drive: a record about survival, redemption, and the fragile beauty of being alive.
