Last Sacrament

Last Sacrament is a Florida death metal band formed in 2006 by guitarists Mike Maletta and Ron Sword. Notable for being one of the first, if not the first fully microtonal metal band. The band experimented with several temperaments before moving to 16-tones around 2008 and many demos followed. In 2012, the band finished the debut album, 'Enantiodromia'. The album makes use of an inside-out scale which reverses all major and minor triads found in the standard western musical system. In 2012, recording for 'On the Possible Preserved Visual Consciousness in Blindsight' began as a dense, psychedelic metal album exploring the 7th harmonic and other high prime harmonics found in Lemba Temperament. These recordings have yet to be released and are planned to be released in the future.. In the winter of 2014, the band toured up the east coast of the united states for the 'Enantiodromia' album, and continued working through 2015 on guitars, demos, and organizing the vast number of recorded materials. 2015-2016 'At the Pillars of Corinth' and 'Beyond Reality' were both demo'd and recorded. 'At the Pillars...' is a full length slightly more technical album written in 2008 with three instrumental tracks based around the forgotten Corinthian scale.
