About this concert

On 18th May, Limerick-born, Dublin-based artist ARREN makes his highly anticipated Belfast debut at The Black Box's Green Room. Following a landmark capacity-crowd sell-out at Little Whelan’s last year, this performance marks a transition into the quiet, cinematic heart of his debut album project, Dark Earth. This is a show defined by raw, high-intensity storytelling. To celebrate the launch of his new single, "Thinking About July," ARREN is stripping his anthemic compositions down to their most vulnerable nerves. It is an evening built on presence and precision, as he moves seamlessly through a 60-minute set that bridges the gap between stadium-sized melodies and the honesty of a private conversation. The performance centers on a unique, unfiltered setup: ARREN switches between a digital piano and acoustic guitar, reimagining his catalog for the intimacy of the Green Room. From the bittersweet warmth of "Rising Sun" to the first live airing of his upcoming material, the show explores the universal tensions of love, legacy and hope. Industry Praise: "Captures a universal sentiment with a fresh, engaging sound" - McGig Music "Combines vintage sounds with modern-day execution" - The Other Side Reviews Tickets are strictly limited for this debut headline performance. Early booking is advised.

Artist bio
Limerick-born, Dublin-based artist ARREN is carving out a unique sonic lane in the Irish music scene. His sound is a sophisticated collision of worlds: the anthemic, rhythmic drive of Mumford & Sons meets the soulful grit of James Bay, all underpinned by the moody, cinematic tension of Radiohead. Defined by emotional honesty and expansive arrangements, ARREN’s music connects deeply across genres, moving effortlessly between high-energy acoustic rhythms and vulnerable, piano-led storytelling.

A proven live draw, ARREN’s momentum is anchored by a landmark sold-out headline show at Dublin’s iconic Little Whelan’s in 2025. His dynamic performances have graced renowned venues like Sin É and The Sound House, as well as the Stoneybatter & Dun Laoghaire Festivals, alongside coveted support slots for artists including ALKY, Rob Clamp, and Static Vision.

Industry notice is building rapidly. ARREN’s releases have earned airplay on Clare FM and prominent placements on major Spotify playlists, including Goldenplec, FMC’s Made in Ireland, and RaggedCast. Press outlets have been quick to praise his vision, with The Other Side Reviews noting his ability to “combine vintage sounds with modern-day execution,” and McGig Music highlighting work that “captures a universal sentiment with a fresh, engaging sound.” Last summer, his music video for "It Takes One to Know" peaked at #3 on Pure Magazine’s Fresh Top 20 in Ireland.

2026 marks a major transition for ARREN as he prepares for his highly anticipated debut album, Dark Earth. The project is led by the May 12th release of "Thinking About July," an energetic, orchestral pop-rock hit that captures the raw intensity of his new direction. To celebrate the launch, ARREN is currently on a national tour, bringing a stripped-back, high-intensity solo performance to some of Ireland's most intimate rooms:

May 12th: Little Whelan’s, Dublin (Single Launch)
May 14th: Róisín Dubh (Top Bar), Galway
May 18th: The Black Box (Green Room), Belfast
May 21st: Ruby Molly, Dublin

Poised for a breakout year, ARREN brings a heartfelt, cinematic live experience ready to command any stage.
