Artist bio
Martin Cook, a former piano player for the Kingsmen Quartet and a chemistry teacher at Swain High School in Bryson City, NC, formed the Inspirations in 1964 with several of his teenage students: Archie Watkins, Ronnie Hutchins, Jack Laws and Dean Robinson. The Inspirations began traveling full-time in 1969, a year after hosting their first “Singing In The Smokies” event. The 1970s saw the Inspirations rise to national attention with a number of hit songs. The group continues today, still maintaining their iconic and unique sound.

What fans are saying
What a great night in the Lord. Everyone felt their obedience to the Holy Spirit. I love their humble hearts. We had a treat with a sound check before the concert. Their love for the Lord shows in everything they do. Praying for God's blessings and protection over them and their families.
I love Wyatt's humble heart. He prayed with me when I seen them in Mt. Airy, NC earlier this year. I never get tired of seeing him pour out his heart. When his cup runs over, it is a blessing to everyone else. He is a wonderful young man and I love to hear him preach and sing with the Rogers Family.
Luke Vaught is the most talented man I have ever seen. He had to tune the piano before the concert. He was playing the piano with everything he had in him. The piano would shake at times. I kept thinking, I hope the legs hold up. He is awesome, funny, humble and kind.
I love Isaac servant's heart. He is so very talented and funny. I know Archie is proud of him. He sounds just like him. I have to admit I was star struck to see the Inspirations for the first time. I used to listen to my grandmother's records in her bedroom back in the 70's when I was a kid. My favorite song was "When I wake up to sleep no more". I am 59 now. This was my first time seeing them in person.
Roland is a great man of God. I love watching his videos from his garden or wherever he is. He is so down to earth, talented and funny.
I have seen the Primitive Quartet many times. My first time seeing Jeff Tolbert and Primitive Road. God hand picked the right people to keep their legacy alive so they can continue to spread the good news. Norman would be so proud. I am sure the rest of the members feel the same way.
God was in all the details. Thanks to all for giving of your time, talent and testimony. In a world so full of darkness, you brought a shining light of hope to our neck of the woods.
