Kate Maple

Kate Maple is a six-piece folk-rock band blending elements of folk, rock, and Americana. Active on the Czech music scene since late 2023, the band has released several original singles and its debut EP Those Days Before (2025).
The group has collaborated with notable figures of the Czech music industry, including Igor Ochepovský (Ewa Farna, David Koller), Jan Brambůrek (Houpací koně, Vypsaná fiXa), and Boris Carloff (November 2nd).
Despite being a relatively young band, Kate Maple has already earned several notable achievements. They became finalists of the Ústí Region Showcase, semi-finalists of the international UK Songwriting Contest, won 3rd place in the national finals of the Porta festival in Svitavy, won the RFP Talents competition, and in 2026 also won Zapínač, a music competition organized by ČEZ.
The band has performed dozens of concerts across the Czech Republic and appeared at festivals such as Rock for People, United Islands of Prague, Festival Regiony, Žižkovská noc, Praha žije hudbou, and Porta. Their music has been featured by media outlets including Refresher, Frontman.cz, and Czech Radio Vltava, where the band appeared as guests on the ArtCafé program.
Kate Maple is known for its strong original songwriting in English, rich three-part vocal harmonies, and energetic live performances that combine intimate folk-inspired moments with the power and energy of rock music.
