Artist bio
Thin Lear, the moniker of critically acclaimed New Jersey musician Matt Longo, has announced his highly anticipated sophomore album Many Disappeared, to be released April 24 on First City Artists (Coco, Alexa Rose). Produced by multi-Grammy award winning Matt Ross-Spang (Jason Isbell, The Mountain Goats), the ten-track collection is an elegant work of melancholia, a delve into the utter peculiarity of existing.

Thin Lear‘s lustrous indie folk has drawn acclaim from tastemakers like NPR, KEXP, Under The Radar, Bandcamp, and PopMatters’ Best Albums of the Year to name a few. He released his debut album Wooden Cave in 2020, followed by the vibrant EPs, A Beach of Nightly Glory and A Shadow Waltzed Itself, in 2024 and 2025 respectively.

Longo has collaborated with esteemed artists such as Sam Cohen (Kevin Morby, Madi Diaz) and Matthew E. White (Natalie Prass, Hiss Golden Messenger) and shared stages with the likes of Jesse Malin, Greg Mendez, Charlie Parr, and The Shivers, among others.
