About this concert
Bernard Fanning - Tea & Sympathy 20th Anniversary Tour with special guests Sam Cromack & Georgia Mooney. Bernard Fanning, is taking his celebration of 20 years of Tea & Sympathy around Australia in February and March 2026, playing all the songs from the album and more. The tour follows the sold out anniversary show at QPAC in Brisbane where Fanning will perform Tea & Sympathy in full for the first time in twenty years, and today’s release of 20th Anniversary editions of the album. Tonight’s QPAC show sold out within two minutes of tickets going on sale and fans are encouraged to be quick to make sure they don’t miss out. Joining Bernard will be his special guests Sam Cromack* (Ball Park Music) and Georgia Mooney (All Our Exes Live in Texas). ** Bob Evans will also be joining the line up for the Perth show. Bernard said, “It’s such a privilege to have made a record that people connected with on such a deep, personal level. I have had so many people tell me that it changed their lives. As an artist that is one of the things that you hope for. Playing these songs live has always been a communal experience, with the audience sharing in both the intimacy and the full-throated sing-along glory of the songs. He added “It’s such a joy to be taking another lap around our country to play Tea & Sympathy again. We’ve got most of the original band back together and can’t wait to play this record front to back in some of the country’s most iconic venues. Having Sam and Georgia along just triples the fun” All shows will be all ages with those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. Artist and venue pre-sales kick off at 10.00am (local times) on Monday, 3 November until 9.00am (local times) on Wednesday, 5 November (or until the allocation is exhausted). Go to bernardfanning.com to register. General public tickets will go on sale at 12.00pm (local times) on Wednesday, 5 November from bernardfanning.com/tour

Bernard Fanning Biography

Bernard Fanning (born 15 August 1969) from Brisbane, Australia, is best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band Powderfinger.

From 1994 to 2004 Powderfinger released five albums, a double CD live album, and a Best Of, after which they decided to take a break. Fanning's solo album Tea & Sympathy was released in October 2005 and debuted at #1 on the Australian ARIA Albums chart. Singles released from this album were Wish You Well, Songbird and Watch Over Me.

Fanning won three ARIA awards in 2006, Best Male Artist, Album of the Year for Tea and Sympathy, and Best Music Video for Wish You Well. In the same year Wish You Well was voted in at #1 on Australian youth radio station Triple J's 2005 Hottest 100 poll.

Fanning also contributed songs to the 2003 film Ned Kelly including Shelter for My Soul and a cover of the traditional song Moreton Bay.

Powderfinger released their 6th studio album, Dream Days at the Hotel Existence in June 2007 and are touring with Silverchair in the autumn. Therefore it is unlikely Fanning will release a second solo album soon.
