About this concert
The first time we were in Pinky's Revenge, we thought that it would be a perfect venue for our pals, Basic Printer. We think their infectious synth driven funk sounds like every game in the arcade. Well, almost every game. When we told Basic Printer about the Pinky's Revenge, the only questions were when, and "Who's bringing the Castlevania vibes?" So join us: November 14 at Pinky's Revenge. 21+ Doors: 7:00pm Show: 8:00pm Pinky’s Revenue 250 Mill St Taylors, SC 29687

Valentine Wolfe Biography

“…an eerie, pitch-black hybrid of gothic rock, heavy metal and classical music”
-Vincent Harris, Greenville Journal.

Valentine Wolfe is where gothic horror, and macabre history intertwine to create a haunting symphony of sound. The ethereal and haunting vocals of Sarah Black and the brooding melancholy of Braxton Ballew's solo double bass combine with their love of gothic, symphonic metal, and classical music into their own music of mystery and imagination.

Along with their own style of Victorian Chamber Metal, Valentine Wolfe has also produced collaborations with theatrical and film productions. They’ve enchanted audiences with their own live and improvised scores of silent horror classics such as Nosferatu, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, and The Phantom of the Opera.

Valentine Wolfe released All My Nights Were Trances in 2023, an exploration of cinematic dark ambient soundscapes. Supported by a grant from Greenville SC's Metropolitan Arts Council, this immersive experience continues the band's tradition of crafting works equally suited for concerts and literary salons, following in the footsteps of Only Gossamer My Gown (2020), a captivating tribute to the macabre poetry of Emily Dickinson, The Haunting of Mary Shelley (2018), a 200th anniversary celebration of Frankenstein and its author, and The Elegiac Repose (2017), an exploration of death positivity and grief.

Lullabies, Love Songs, and Laments was released in September 2022, continuing their journey through the shadows where every note resonates with the echoes of forgotten tales and untold mysteries.

In 2023, supported by Greenville SC's Metropolitan Arts Council, they launched a collaboration with author and scholar Dacre Stoker, composing and performing music to accompany Dacre’s presentation Stoker on Stoker, an exploration into the mysteries of the writing of Dracula. In 2024, they were awarded the Truman Henderson Award for Excellence in Grant Writing for work on this collaboration.

Their most recent release is Lost To The Night, a celebration of 19th century horror. Lost to the Night marks their first ever vinyl release.
