Sunbörn Biography

Groovy sunshine beats and virtuosic jazzy horns come together in Sunbörn (formerly KutiMangoes), in an innovative, global sound that bridges cultures. The band has released 4 albums, won 4 Danish Grammys - most recently for best live band - and their welcoming music has found listeners around the world. Their music moves elegantly through the boundaries of jazz, fusion and global music - incorporating acoustic, hand-played equilibrism, jazzy arrangements and modern electronic sounds.

On Sunbörns upcoming album they join forces with acclaimed Italian producer/DJ Clap! Clap! on the album “Earth is Begging”, out in October ‘25 on UK label WahWah45s. Blending Afrobeat, Middle Eastern textures, jazz harmonies, and electronic dance music, Sunbörn and Clap! Clap! weave a high-energy soundscape of hypnotic grooves and soaring melodies. The music explores the idea of a cultural melting pot—where traditions meet future sounds, and rhythm transcends borders.

Guest artists include Dele Sosimi (UK/NG), Carolina Lelis (BR), and Etuk Ubong (NG) and the first singles have already gained support and airplay from radio stations and tastemakers all over, notably BBC6 and JazzFM. In spring 2026 the project will take the music on the road.
