Nicola Gaea Biography
London based artist, Nicola Gaea (pronounced guy-uh) has been described by her Mother as a ‘songbird’ since young. Aiming to push the boundaries of typical music genres, she prides herself on making music for the soul, music that makes you feel good and is able to take influence from a broad catalogue of artists and sounds.
Her emotionally aware lyrics and sounds of 90s soul classics seep through her music, which is highly influenced by the Reggae, Soul and Jazz hits that were played regularly in her family home.
Gaea released her anticipated second EP 'Poetic Resistance' this summer, following the success of her debut EP ‘Rise’ last year - which was supported by Help Musicians and the MOBO Awards, BBC Introducing London Radio and publications such as Wonderland, Clash and New Wave Magazine.
