Ryan The Son Biography

Ryan The Son — rising from Sugar Land, TX — is a self-proclaimed “Blindie ®” artist: an Indie musician weaving Hip-Hop and Pop into a sound entirely his own. With storytelling at the core of his craft, Ryan blends vulnerability, energy, and genre-defying creativity to connect with listeners across cultures.
An athlete turned anime and gaming nerd, Ryan’s path to music is as unexpected as it is inspiring. Once a college basketball player, his journey shifted when the game ended freshman year — and he woke up one day with melodies and lyrics in his head. That spark ignited an entirely new passion, leading him into a universe of expression that continues to grow song by song.
In 2025, Ryan’s single “Human In Me” went semi-viral on TikTok, pulling in over 10,000 new followers from just one post and spotlighting his unique voice in the indie/hip-hop space. Since then, he’s collaborated with Nashville songwriters and artists, further sharpening his pen as both a performer and writer. Most recently, Ryan appeared as both an artist and songwriter on the red carpet at Anti-Social Songwriting Camp in New York City — the world’s largest songwriting camp — solidifying his rising presence in the industry.
His latest release “HELP!” has found love in the anime community, opening doors to social media collaborations and cameos with popular creators in that space — expanding his reach into global fanbases that resonate with his blend of artistry and nerd culture. These milestones build on a resume that already includes international performances (like a set at the Eiffel Tower), sync placements in film and TV, and press recognition for projects such as “Timeless Present” and his 2022 single “Enough.”
Through every release, Ryan pushes forward his mission: to create unity and discovery through music that blurs boundaries. His Blindie sound isn’t just a genre — it’s a world of self-expression, identity, and connection. Following Ryan The Son means following an artist on an adventure into a whole new universe of creativity — one song at a time.
