Gaia Gaibazzi Biography
After obtaining her diploma with distinction in Genoa, Gaia graduated with a Master in Music Performance and with a Master in Music Pedagogy from the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste in Zurich. She is currently pursuing PhD studies in Music Performance Research at the University of Aveiro, while continuing her studies in clarinet with Maestro Calogero Palermo.
Her extensive concert activity has led her to perform in renowned theaters across Europe, including the Philharmonie de Paris, Victoria Hall, Tonhalle Zurich, Teatro alla Scala Milan, Philharmonie Luxembourg, Teatro San Carlo Naples, Casa da Música, Teatro Carlo Felice, and Teatro Sociale di Como. She has appeared as a soloist and as a member of esteemed orchestras such as the Luigi Cherubini Orchestra and the Giraud Ensemble, with which she recorded a CD for SONY Classics. Gaia has had the privilege of working under the baton of distinguished conductors including Riccardo Muti, Wayne Marshall, Dennis Russell Davies, Pierre-André Valade, and Zsolt Nagy.
An active chamber musician, Gaia regularly performs in prestigious musical seasons and festivals such as the Spring Concerts-GOG, Lerici Music Festival, Festival MITO Milano, Lange Nacht der Musik Zürich, Tage für Neue Musik Zürich, Prélude Konzert Tonhalle Zürich, Alexander Arutiunian International Wind Festival, FIMU and Festival Fiati in Novara.
