It seems our first Refuge was advertised as the End of the World, and now we’ve come to the Last Refuge. Peter and Kristin have been hosting Refuge parties for a decade, and are ready to move on. As with all endings, they are things of beauty as well as sadness, and we’re glad to be able to give this Lovely venue a good send-off.
Performances from Refuge regulars like Tracy Buchanan and Kate B Penbleeds – and the triumphant return of long-time ilyAIMY friend Mosno Al-Moseeki with his band the Moonbeams! On top of all of that (and also in the middle) – Ammonite! Ammonite is a power-trio that ilyAIMY encountered last time we played the Takoma Park Folk Festival. We really tried to put together a show with them this past year, but chaos, double-bookings, and madness kept it from coming to fruition. Fortunately, we finally get to share the stage for this, the Last Refuge!
