Ethan Loke Biography
Ethan is a singer-songwriter and producer who captivates his listeners through emotive storytelling, wistful poetry, and beautiful sounds. Capturing the essence of vulnerability and strife through his lyrics, Ethan uses his personal experiences to make meaning of life through music. Primarily performing within the indie and folk genres, Ethan's inspirations range from the soundscapes of artists like Phoebe Bridgers and Big Thief to the lyricism and poetry of songwriters like Adrianne Lenker and Noah Kahan.
Having released his first EP Normal in October 2024, a collection of 5 tracks that he made when he first started out in music, Ethan followed it up with his biggest single to date, You'll Be Fine. He then shared his second lead single, Crescent Moon to his sophomore EP, Nothing Is Real, before releasing the whole EP in June of 2025. Ethan then followed it up with a standalone release of Roses In Pottery that touches on varying issues within his home country. He is now in the midst of preparing for his debut album.
Ethan touches on a variety of topics through his lyricism, from pertinent societal topics such as mental health to LGBTQ+ issues, as well as more abstract yet deeper topics such as love, life, and everything in between. Ethan doesn't shy away from the power of his own poetry, being able to story tell such as in his first two EPs, as well as being able to conceptualise deeper topics that are present in his newer songs.
