Taking tints of inspiration such as Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree or Karnivool; they chisel and polish nimbly the contours of a musical and sensorial journey. Born from the ashes of Shuffle, HamaSaari flourishes in a more serene and melancholic fashion. Dazu kommen psychedelische und progressive Einflüsse sowie Doom- und Indie-Elemente. Der aus Finnland stammende Frontmann Martin Nylund transportiert die unausweichliche Dunkelheit des Nordens durch schwermütige Texte und traurig bange Tonfolgen, die die Band bisweilen auch in weiten Klanglandschaften Bahn brechen lässt. Stellenweise könnte man behaupten, dass es auch Melodien voller Hoffnung und Optimismus gibt, doch der Schein trügt.
