Verse Metrics Biography
Verse Metrics are a Glasgow-based alternative rock band known for their cerebral, math-rock-tinged sound that blends intricate guitar work, emotive vocals, and shifting rhythms.
Formed in 2009, the band has evolved through several lineups and sonic phases, with key releases including their acclaimed debut EP (VM1, 2010), the experi-mental second EP (Radians 2012), and the expansive 2016 EP (We'll Be Listening and Remembering Until We're Old and Unsteady) . Their 2018 single The Nightmares Leave Us All Inoperational further cemented their signature sound: melodic, moody, and artfully angular.
Now comprising Robert Dick (vocals/guitar), Alan Conway (guitar), Kevin O’Hagan (bass), Chris MacKinnon (other noises), and Pete Colquhoun (drums), Verse Metrics are currently recording a 10-track album; set to push their sound into deeper, darker territory while retaining their trademark emotional intensity and structural precision.
