About this concert
Sam C. Jones joins the pit band of Next Stop Theatre Company's production of the Last Five Years!
Is the breakdown of a marriage an ending or beginning? The Last Five Years follows two New Yorkers, rising author Jamie and aspiring actress Cathy, as they fall in and out of love over the course of half a decade. This gut-wrenching, iconic musical, with an acclaimed score by Tony Award-winner Jason Robert Brown, explores how a couple, once united by their dreams, could stray so far from each other as their paths diverge. Told from two opposite timelines, Jamie and Cathy’s perspectives intertwine in a story of love, ambition, and heartbreak.

Sam C. Jones Biography
Sam C. Jones is a an actor, multi-instrumentalist, and middle child born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia. He grew up watching his mom play piano for a summer theatre in his hometown and, to nobody's surprise, wound up on that same stage when he was old enough to audition. From that day on, he knew it was where he belonged.
With a wide vocal range that can sing anything from Johnny Cash to Journey, an unshakeable comedic-charm and signature left-handed guitar playing, Sam brings excitement and joy to any project he takes on. He has worked for renowned theatre companies all over the country and has been lucky enough to portray several musical icons of the 20th century, including Paul McCartney, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley. He has also served as music director while performing in productions of Million Dollar Quartet, Pump Boys & Dinettes and the works of William Shakespeare. He is a proud member of Actor's Equity Association.
Sam's original music - inspired by classic country, Americana blues rock - can be found on all streaming platforms. He is also the co-creator of Rockabilly Rumble, a touring tribute show dedicated to 1950's rock n' roll.
When Sam is not on stage, he is an avid reader, movie buff and vinyl collector. He enjoys exploring whatever city he is in, and loves nothing more a day outside with his friends and family.
