Lozano's expertise has also led to work with several labels, including Om Records and Pan Handle, in addition to his own Freqy Music Group. With previous releases including "Conceptualize" (January 2021) and "High Tide" (September 2021), his most recent album is "Hometown Heroes" (May 23, 2025). “The record brings together authentic lyricism, soulful beats, and community-driven storytelling that resonates with both hip hop fans and vinyl collectors.” Lozano explains. “Hometown Heroes, Vol 1” brings together a powerhouse lineup of early 2000s Hip Hop artists from the Sacramento region. The project features members from several iconic local crews, including S3LF and his brother Flave, Mr. Lingo and SkratchMiyagi (also known as DJ Rated R), all representing Live Manikins. DJ Rated R is also a member of the well-known Sleeprockers DJ crew. Andrew Lozano Biography

Andrew Lozano
Lofi | Ambient | House | Conscious Hip-Hop

Straight outta California’s creative underground, Andrew Lozano is a boundary-
pushing producer, performer, and label boss known for blending Lofi textures,
ambient vibes, conscious bars, and deep house grooves into one unmistakable
sound.

Cinematic and soulful, his music lives in the space where analog grit
meets digital precision — raw guitars, tripped-out pedal effects, and
atmospheric synths all dialed in with next-level software wizardry.

Andrew’s journey started in the late ’90s, when he co-founded the Bay Area live
house outfit Uneaq, landing a deal with the iconic OM Records. As a pioneer in
West Coast house, he helped shape the scene’s sound and energy, later
expanding his influence as a co-manager of Clique Trax, an underground house
label known for pushing forward-thinking electronic music.

After relocating to Elk Grove, Andrew founded Freqy Music Group in 2011 —
building not just a studio, but a full-on creative hub where he continues to mix,
master, produce, and elevate new talent. Whether he’s behind the boards or on
the decks, his fingerprint is felt across every beat and every bar.

His discography reads like a global map of sound, with releases on OM
Records, Fogbank, Jump Recordings, Mare Nostrum, Ambient Cat, Mate
Recordings, and more. No matter the label, the vibe stays consistent: music with
meaning, movement, and mind.

In recent years, Andrew has leveled up with a string of powerful releases — from
Hometown Heroes, a collaborative hip-hop showcase featuring some of
Sacramento’s finest lyricists, to Digital Transmission, a driving, late-night-ready
house EP with longtime collaborator Trevor Vichas. On the ambient tip, he
dropped Voyager on Ambient Cat — a lush, meditative soundscape that proves
his versatility runs deep.

Whether he’s flipping samples into head-nodding hip-hop, building immersive
ambient suites, or dropping dancefloor heat, Andrew Lozano’s sound is always
rooted in purpose. With each project, he pushes the boundaries of genre while
staying grounded in soul — making music that resonates beyond the moment.

From dusty MPC beats to 4AM house grooves, Andrew’s style is both timeless
and future-forward — connecting listeners across scenes, borders, and
frequencies.
