Good Call Biography
Good Call was formed in 2017 by guitarist Zane Cordova and vocalist Colton Hunter in a high school music class. After Hunter mentioned the idea to Cordova he replied "Good call!", which is where the name originated. They quickly recruited bassist Taggert Wise, drummer Jake Bishop and released their premiere single "Old Souls". The band then recruited lead guitarist Jake Harrison and released their debut EP Wilt and Wallow.
Playing mostly local shows at their hometown of Logan, Utah the band shared the stage with Seattle rockers The Home Team which sparked a friendship between the bands. When Good Call recorded their singles, "Sunset Silhouette" and "Ouch", it was a natural progression to have vocalist Brian Butcher feature on their track "Sunset Silhouette" released in 2022. With production from Colton Hunter, the band chose mixing engineer James Paul Wisner (Paramore, Hands Like Houses, Underoath), and mixing/mastering engineer Andrew Wade (Neck Deep, A Day to Remember, Wage War) to put the final polish on the singles.
After parting ways with guitarist Jake Harrison, the band recruited guitarist Josh Bates to take over lead guitar, who was then replaced by Tyson Hunter, Colton Hunter's brother.
The band is currently working on releasing new music with this lineup and anticipates a release in late 2025.
