HARDCORE EVENT “SMD EXPO 2025” to be held at STUDIO PARTITA(Creative Center Osaka), Osaka on November 15th! The long-awaited BIG hardcore festival “SMD EXPO 2025” will take place this fall on November 15th at STUDIO PARTITA, located in the former Namura Shipyard site in Osaka. Presented by SMDcrew, a collective formed by key mid-generation members of the Kansai/Osaka hardcore scene, this event is their ultimate statement to the world. As special guests from overseas, the legendary NY hardcore heavyweight “EVERYBODY GETS HURT” will make their long-awaited return to Japan — their first visit in about 22 years. Joining them are the rapidly rising new-generation NYHC band “COMBUST”, and the fierce up-and-coming band “BAD BEAT” from Detroit — both invited through the efforts of Kansai’s hardcore booking powerhouse, BRIGHTSIDE BOOKING. These three international acts will headline together, marking a triple-headliner lineup of pure intensity. The domestic lineup will feature only bands deeply connected to SMDcrew, mainly from the Kansai hardcore scene — a true display of passion, pride, and uncompromising spirit. In addition to live performances, there will be food stalls, art installations, and various booths, creating a multi-sensory and unpredictable day of total entertainment through hardcore. For those who remember the wild energy and raw atmosphere of events like “HARDCORE BREAKOUT” and “HARDCORE PRIDE” — the defining moments of the Kansai hardcore explosion from the late ’90s to the 2000s — SMD EXPO 2025 represents a once-in-a-lifetime challenge, a culmination of everything that has kept the SMDcrew burning since those days.
