Mike Lumer

I began playing drums in elementary school, although my mother would say I began In Utero, as I would mimic rhythms she would tap out on her typewriter at work by kicking her belly similarly. In high school I took lessons from Frank Del Piano of the President's Own band for about a year before branching off into the wonderful world of kit drumming. Since then I haven't looked back, learning every style I can get my hands on.

I've gigged out with over 20 bands, recorded multiple albums live & in studio, and even started teaching my own students as of 1998. I've built a recording studio in my home that I use for my current projects as well as for session work or outside clients needing affordable class A space.

The year 2025 will see me playing weddings locally in the eastern USA, local metal gigs in the DC/Baltimore area and small tours covering the continental USA.
