めぐたろう

2015年10月結成、ピアノとドラムのデュオユニット。
色彩豊かな優しい音楽をテーマに、メロディアスでありながらもJazzをベースにした瞬発力の高いアンサンブルで、独自の世界観を追求している。
2018年6月ファーストアルバム「Arise」を、2020年6月にセカンドアルバム「Newselves」を発売。JaZZ Japanやthe Walkers等、複数の雑誌にレビュー記事が掲載されている。
月1回の都内近郊での演奏に加え、北海道・関西・西日本方面、台湾でも定期的に訪れるなど、精力的に活動中。


MEGTARO is an instrumental band from Tokyo, Japan since 2015. The members are Megumi Otani(piano) and Kentaro Nakayama(drums). Basic format is piano and drums DUO style. Mostly MEGTARO performs member's original songs which are colorful, emotional, and peaceful with using jazz vocabulary.
MEGTARO has a wide variety of projects such as piano and drums DUO, piano trio, trio with sax, vocal and tap dance, quartet and quintet. Moreover, the DUO has two albums "Arise"(2018) and “Newselves”(2020). Each song describes nature, special visual scene, member’s experience and thought.
