He was marvelous. I am very happy that I had the opportunity to see his performance for the first time in my life.

George Perris Biography
George Perris is a multilingual recording and touring pop singer who has carved an
unconventional path throughout his career. Born in Greece to a French mother and Greek father,
he went from regional stardom to being the leading international Greek singer of his generation,
having performed on some of the world’s greatest stages (Lincoln Center, New York; Odeon of
Herodes Atticus, Athens; Place Des Arts, Montreal) and collaborated with internationally
acclaimed artists such as Michel Legrand, Placido Domingo, Lara Fabian, Tina Arena, Mario
Frangoulis and Stephan Moccio.
Throughout his career, he has released albums in Greek, English and French, his most recent
Greek album peaking at #3 and staying there for 5 consecutive weeks. His songs have charted in
the top 20 positions in more than 40 countries. George has also released 2 TV Specials on the
American network PBS: “Live At Jazz At Lincoln Center” and “Live At The Acropolis”, both of
which reached audiences of more than 150 million viewers.
He recently became the first singer in history to perform a show on the grounds of an ancient
Greek temple. The performance, named “A Sunset In Greece”, was filmed at the temple of
Aphaea and started airing on PBS in late 2021; in its first 8 months of airings, the show exceeded
110 million viewers in the USA.
In December 2021 he was selected by the Grammy Recording Academy for their “Global Spin”
series which showcases some of the world’s most prominent artists, while his 2023 Christmas
Album “The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year!” charted in more than 20 countries and was
featured at a Billboard in New York’s Times Square. In 2024 he participated at the Cannes Film
Festival as part of the “Il était une fois” biopic on Michel Legrand.
He recently became a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, appointed by Greek legend Nana
Mouskouri, focusing on combatting violence against children.
