Dowally

Dowally is a thrilling duo of fiddler Rachel Petyt and guitarist Dan Abrahams. Described as “Utterly enchanting” by Songlines magazine, the musicians take a folky roots approach to original compositions and weave in influences from Klezmer, jazz, American old time and everything in-between. Expect songs and tunes which will both captivate and make you want to move your feet.

Dowally have 3 studio albums under their belts and 2 short film soundtracks. Their most recent album is 'early bird // night owl', featuring guest appearances from some of Scotland's finest folk musicians, including Phil Alexander (Moishe's Bagel, Eliza Carthy band), Graham Coe (The Jellyman's Daughter) and Michael Starkey. Frequent collaborators also include Ciaran Ryan (Dallahan) and Dominic Blaikie.
