Often described as “Canada’s answer to Snarky Puppy”, the band goes interstellar using their fearless sound, likened to a cross between electric-era Miles Davis and Rage Against the Machine, to map the rise and fall of galactic empires. Front and center are the ALI BROS, the near-telepathic horn duo of BROWNMAN ALI (Guru, Jay-Z, Randy Brecker) on trumpet and MARCUS ALI (Matt Dusk, Jason Wilson, Mr Something Something) on saxophone. Like Asimov’s psychohistorians, they shape the future with every phrase, weaving complex probabilities into sonic reality. Joining them on this voyage are some of Toronto’s finest electric-jazz explorers: JAY YOO on guitar, MATT GRUEBNER on bass, and ADAM MANSFIELD on drums. With performances swinging from Seldon–like moments of quiet, calculated clarity to cataclysmic bursts of energy worthy of a crumbling empire...
