MATCHING OUTFITS
Matching Outfits je trio adoptovaných Berlínčaniek, ktorých pokrivený, melancholický pohľad na indie pop bol prirovnávaný k „filmu Super 8 z rodinnej povaly“. Texty piesní speváčky Linney Mårtensson zachytávajú veľké životné straty a menšie nepríjemnosti v srdcervúcich, občas vtipných detailoch, zatiaľ čo lahodné harmónie sa prevalujú medzi nesúrodnými výstrelkami a spoločnými viachlasnými refrénmi. Ich debutová kazeta „Band Made Out Of Sand“ upútala pozornosť kultovej rozhlasovej stanice WFMU, ako aj newjerseyského vydavateľstva Bar/None (Yo La Tengo, The Feelies), ktoré s kapelou podpísalo zmluvu a 25. júla 2025 vydalo ich druhý album „Ditch Me“. Kapela nenosí matching outfits, okrem prípadov, keď to robí.

Matching Outfits Biography
Matching Outfits are a trio of adopted Berliners whose warped, wistful take on indie pop has been compared to “a Super 8 film from the family attic” (Tip Magazine). The lyrics of Swedish frontwoman Linnea Mårtensson capture life’s major losses and minor inconveniences in gut-wrenching, occasionally hilarious detail, while bright keyboard chords and dulcet three-part harmonies morph into discordant freakouts and shout-along choruses. In 2022, the group released its debut album Band Made Out Of Sand on Berlin cassette label Kitchen Leg. Among other honors, it received heavy play on cult US radio station WFMU, which invited the “bunch of goofballs” (their words) to record a Syd Barrett cover for a fundraising compilation. The band does not wear matching outfits, except when they do.
