Shoniqua moves seamlessly between original music like Sunset and soulful covers Tyrone (Erykah Badu), and Beyoncé’s 1+1 weaving in personal monologues that reveal both humor and raw emotion. Shoniqua Shandai is a rising fashion icon, actress, and singer known for her dynamic presence on and off-screen. She starred as "Angie" in Amazon’s hit series Harlem, from which she received a NAACP nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Sitcom.
Shoniqua made her debut as a singer in 2023 with the release of Something About You. Something About You, music video, directed by Meagan Good, showcased her captivating artistry and set the stage for her musical journey. She continued to expand her music career with Feel My Love, released in January of this year, a wedding ballad hailed as the wedding song of the century, followed by Black, released in February of this year. Black is an uplifting anthem with a bold groove, serving as a reminder that God always has our backs.
Classically trained at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, she has starred in Nobodies (Paramount), I Am The Night (TNT), Bodied (Neon), and Sierra Burgess Is a Loser (Netflix). She also played "Sarita" in the psychological thriller Wake (BET+).
