Jeremy Rose: ‘Disruption! The Voice of Drums’
Led by award-winning saxophonist and composer Jeremy Rose, Disruption! The Voice of Drums is a thrilling tribute to the elemental and disruptive power of rhythm. Featuring extraordinary drum virtuosi Simon Barker and Chloe Kim, the work grew out of Rose’s fascination with their solo drum music, which became the foundation for new arrangements that amplify their distinctive voices. Described as “ground-breaking in concept and monumental in scale” (Ausjazz.net) and hailed as “a brilliant collision of cultures and rhythms… should be brought to international festival stages as soon as possible” (Jazzthetik, DE), Disruption! channels the visceral energy of the drum through dense rhythmic entanglements, ecstatic improvisation and soaring ensemble textures.
Erica Tucceri
Sitting at the cutting edge of the acclaimed Melbourne/Naarm jazz scene, improvising flautist Erica Tucceri’s impressive output encompasses work as a bandleader, composer, and prolific collaborator with the likes of Don Glori, Surprise Chef and Alexander Flood.

Fresh off the heels of her commissioned triumphant sold-out debut at the Melbourne International Jazz Festival, her ensemble for this show is an all-star cast of some of Erica's long-term collaborators: Ziggy Zeitgeist (drums), Lewis Moody (keys), and Luke Wynter (bass).
